Technology Scientific Analysis
Every product needs technology, usually we start from a "wish" and, after a careful but quick analysis based on First Principles (the basic Laws of Science), we define the steps necessary for its development.

I love listening to new problems, understanding their essence, dissecting and unentangling their elements to isolate and define the starting point of the solution.
I let the idea developing, sometimes through a sketch or a simple analitical calculation, sometimes by making a small prototype to help getting familiar with the critical elements that I will build later.
I bring the idea to its full expansion by means of a complete analysis, simulations and a fully functional prototype.
We check together the solution, we may iterate it a bit more until it is fully satisfactory.
The idea may reach Space, or its final user on Earth, to show us a new way of doing things.
And then I start again with a new idea...

Standard Engineering is quite straightforward and will be soon replaced by fully automated processes (vulgo: AI), but real innovation requires the depths and expertise of an Evolved Mind and usually simulations are accompanying design in a iterative and less structured process. I find the shortest path to a meaningful result, provide a clear roadmap and suggest one embodiement for subsequent prototyping
This is the real Art. By mastering a broad variety of skills, from CNC machining to electronic soldering, optical assembly, micromachining and fine mechanics, laboratory measurement techniques of all kinds and thanks to a worldwide established team of thrusted suppliers for special parts we can produce a demonstrating device (aka a "prototype") in the shortest possible time and within the most modest budget on the market.
A development work is worthless if you do not know why every small decision has been made. We track each step in the design so that we can test it and verify the assumptions, confirm the specifications are fully met. All is written down and explained in plain language with drawings, diagrams, quantitative tables and charts. A follow up path is always offered to ensure a long and succesful future of the product.

While starting my company Microspace I also made my PHD at the Udine University (Italy), self funded, developing microthrusters and other MEMS devices for Nanosatellites. From my first projects I was also able to fund Sincrotrone Trieste to make some very first prototypes for my studies.

My strong technical foundation was completed at the University of Trieste (Italy) duing the 5 years of Mechanical Engineering Italian Degree called "Laurea" which culminated in an Experimental Thesis. I did the design, Fluid Dynamic Simulations, Construction and Testing of an Axial Flow Compressor Blading.

Working on various new products, from house appliances to textile machines I learnt to bring clients wishes to reality and provided some fresh engineering methodologies (3D CAD, FEM, etc...)

In my first employment I was in charge of technology improvements introducing various innovations from robots to manual tools helping the workers. I learnt the art of interacting with the production teams and the perverse logics of big corporations...
